TT GROUP PLC
Trading Update
At the time of the announcement of TT Group's last annual results the Board
stated its intention to focus on electronic and electrical businesses and to
dispose of its non-core activities.
Since that time, TT Group has made material progress in its electronic
businesses. Focusing on technology has given the Group competitive advantages
which are demonstrated by the significant growth experienced in this area.
This has arisen from the increased demand for certain electronic components in
telecoms, computer and automotive related industries. TT Group expects this
trend to continue.
As a result of the growth in orders within the electronic business area the
Group's order book is well ahead of last year. The Group is confident that for
the year ended December 2000 results will meet expectations and going forward
that it has the necessary drivers for growth in place.
John W Newman, Executive Chairman, TT Group PLC, commented:
' I am delighted by the progress the Group has made this year. Our leading
edge technologies have enabled us to establish a competitive advantage within
a number of markets. This positions TT Group for future growth.'
