The Company was informed on 01 June 2004 by M & G Investment Management Limited
(for and on behalf of Prudential plc)  that as at 31 May 2004, Prudential plc
and certain of its subsidiary companies have, in aggregate, a modifiable
interest in 62,048,779 ordinary shares of 10 pence each representing 12.21% of
