Retirement of Steven McTiernan as a Non-executive Director
6 December 2012 - Tullow Oil plc (Tullow) announces the retirement of Steven McTiernan as a Non-executive Director of Tullow as of 31 December 2012.
Having joined the Board on 1 March 2002, Steven has served as a Director of Tullow for over ten years and has been an integral member of the audit, nominations and remuneration committees.
Steven was appointed Senior Independent Director in 2008. David Bamford, who joined the Board in 2004, will become Senior Independent Director as of 1 January 2013.
Simon Thompson, Non-executive Chairman of Tullow Oil plc, commented today,
