Purchase of 2018 ZDP Shares

The Board of UIL Limited (the "Company") announces that on 29 August 2018 the Company purchased in the market 137,296 2018 ZDP Shares issued by its subsidiary, UIL Finance Limited, at a price of 159.75p per 2018 ZDP Share.  The 2018 ZDP Shares, which are redeemable on 31 October 2018, will be held as an investment.

Following this purchase, UIL Limited has a holding of 787,654 2018 ZDP Shares and the total number of 2018 ZDP Shares in issue remains unchanged at 32,716,029.
