US defence contractor funds antenna design and development

 

Sarantel Group PLC, (AIM: SLG, "Sarantel"), a leading manufacturer of high-performance, miniature filtering antennas for mobile and wireless devices, has signed an agreement with a major US defence contractor to develop a customised dual-frequency antenna solution for portable military satellite communications.  The contractor is also funding the project.   

Sarantel will develop a customised antenna solution to meet strict size, performance and weight requirements.  If successfully completed, the antenna will address an existing and large market, offering higher performance, a smaller size at lower cost that the existing solution.
