Sarantel (AIM: SLG), the leading manufacturer of revolutionary filtering
antennas for mobile and wireless devices, is pleased to announce that it has
received production orders for the recently launched SkyCaddie SG5 Pro Golf
tracker. This device is the first product in the SkyCaddie Pro Series to be
launched by SkyGolf.
SkyGolf is pioneer and worldwide leader in hand held GPS products for golfers
and the SkyCaddie Pro SG5 incorporates the very latest GPS technology to provide
unmatched performance and reliability. It enables golfers to measure the full
depth and shape of the green from any angle of approach and shows distances for
all targets and hazards on any of SkyGolf's 16,000+ course library of
professionally mapped courses in 45 countries.
Richard Edmonson, Chief Executive of SkyGolf said:
'Our customers are serious about golf and they demand high performance products
which are easy to use. We selected Sarantel's GeoHelix GPS antenna for the
SkyCaddie Pro Series because of its small size and robust hand-held performance.
Sarantel's technology enabled SkyGolf to provide precise positioning in a
compact hand portable product which continuously tracks satellites regardless of
the orientation of the device.'
David Wither, Chief Executive of Sarantel said:
'We are delighted that our GeoHelix GPS antenna has been chosen for the latest
and most advanced SkyGolf product. This design win strengthens our existing
relationship with SkyGolf that started with our support of the SkyCaddie SG1 and
SG2. SkyGolf and Sarantel share a passion for high performance GPS which
enables truly exciting applications like the SkyCaddie Pro Series.'
