Electra Private Equity Plc announces that on 26 November 2008 the Company purchased 7,000 of its own ordinary shares of 25p each for cancellation representing 0.02% of the issued share capital at a price of £8.509623 per share.

Following this transaction the Company now has 35,588,687 ordinary shares of 25p each in issue.
