UNILEVER COMPLETES BESTFOODS ACQUISITION
Unilever is pleased to announce that, with all conditions having been
satisfied, the acquisition of Bestfoods has today been completed.
UNILEVER MANDATES SYNDICATE OF LEAD BANKS
FOR GLOBAL DEBT ISSUE
Unilever has mandated Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, UBS Warburg as joint leads
and bookrunners on a US$7.0 bn multi-tranche Global US$ issue. The debt
securities will be offered by Unilever and represent refinancing of
Commercial Paper raised for settlement of the payment for the shares of
Bestfoods Inc. Roadshows will take place in Europe and the US and the launch
will be subject to market conditions. Co-lead managers will be ABN AMRO, BNP
Paribas, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, IBJ and Citibank.
