UNILEVER COMPLETES REFINANCING OF BESTFOODS ACQUISITION
Unilever has completed its refinancing of the Bestfoods acquisition for this
year by launching another bond issue, a two tranche deal in Sterling and
Dollars.
The issue is in the name of Unilever PLC and comprises a £125m Floating Rate
Note and a $375m Floating Rate Note, both with a maturity of 1 year and 1 day.
The issue will be documented under Unilever's debt issuance programme.
Lead managers for the issue are Deutsche Bank and HSBC. Co-lead managers are
ABN AMRO, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, IBJ, JP Morgan, SSSB and UBS Warburg.
Unilever Group Treasurer Jan Haars commented: 'Following the strong demand
for Unilever debt on our recent issues, we took the opportunity to conclude
the refinancing of the Bestfoods transaction for this year.'
