UNILEVER INTRODUCES TELECONFERENCE BRIEFING INITIATIVE
Unilever announced today that it is to move to a policy of holding a
quarterly teleconference as a precursor to its 'close' period, ahead of the
quarterly results announcements. This is in line with Unilever's continuing
commitment to further enhance communication with investors and the financial
markets.
The first teleconference will be on Wednesday, December 20 at 1400 hrs GMT.
As a matter of routine, the presentation material will be made available, at
that time, through the relevant stock exchanges and will be accessible on
www.unilever.com.
The teleconference can be accessed via Unilever's website or via a normal
telephone link. For details see below. Analysts will be able to ask questions
during the call.
Teleconferences for 2001 are planned as follows (all at 1400 hrs GMT):
Monday, March 26 - ahead of Q1 results to be published on Friday, April 27
Monday, June 25 - ahead of Q2 results to be published on Friday, August 3
Monday, September 24-ahead of Q3 results to be published on Friday, November 2
Wednesday, December 19 -ahead of Q4 results to be published on Thursday,
February 7, 2002.
