UNILEVER TO SELL TURKISH OLIVE OIL BUSINESS



Unilever today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to sell Komili, the market leading olive oil brand in Turkey, for an undisclosed amount to Ana Gida, part of the Anadolu Group. 


The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in 2008.


Komili generated approximately € 26m in turnover for Unilever in 2007. 


The transaction is part of Unilever's announced plans to dispose of non-strategic brands, with collectively more than € 2 billion in turnover.
