The Unite Group PLC ('the Company')

The Company has applied to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for 946 ordinary shares of 25p each, which were issued pursuant to the
exercise of share options at an exercise price of 155.5p, to be admitted to the
Official List, and to trading on the London Stock Exchange.  These shares will
rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the Company and dealings
are expected to commence on 27 May 2002.
