Andrew Whatson Resigns as as Executive Director

                      Board change


The  Unite Group plc ('the Company') announces  that,  as
result  of  the need for Mr Andrew Whatson to concentrate
his  energy  on leading and developing the Portfolio  and
Asset Management operations on a full time basis during a
period of significant growth, he has today resigned as an
executive Director of the Board of the Company.  He  will
remain  as  a  Director  of the  Operating  Board,  Unite
Holdings.
