NOTIFIABLE INTEREST




The Company has been informed, by letter received today, that Scottish Widows
Investment Partnership Limited has a notifiable interest in 3,411,052 ordinary
shares of 25p each in the capital of the Company, representing 3.066% of the
Company's issued share capital. The notification was also made on behalf of
Lloyds TSB Group plc, Lloyds TSB Bank plc and Scottish Widows Group Limited,
each of which is deemed interested in the above referred to shares on the basis
of it, like Scottish Widows Investment Partnership Limited, being a company
within the Lloyds TSB group of companies.
