Closure of the Johannesburg Administrative Office and Resignation of CFO

URU Metals Limited, (AIM:URU), the  base metals and uranium explorer and development company, announces that effective 31 January, URU will be closing its Johannesburg administrative office.

The decision to close the Johannesburg office was made for the sole purpose of minimizing the Company's general and administrative overhead costs.

As the result of the closure of the Johannesburg office, Mr. Russel Swarts, Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving the company effective 31 January.  Mr. Swarts will be assisting the Company on an as-needed basis through to the end of the current financial year-end on 31 March 2013 to ensure an orderly transition to his eventual successor.

The Board would like to thank Mr. Swarts for his substantial contribution to the Company over his past five years of service as both CFO, and in his previous role as Group Financial Controller, and wishes him the best of success in his future endeavors.
