NIGER URANIUM LIMITED
('Niger Uranium' or 'the Company')
Niger Update
With the anticipated improvement in security in Niger's Uranium producing districts, Niger Uranium expects to resume its exploration programme in October 2009. This would allow the Company to test the numerous targets defined by the radon and geochemical survey carried out in late 2008. As previously announced on 28 August 2008, Niger Uranium has a JORC compliant resource of 4.39 million lbs U3O8 at the In Gall target and currently holds eight prospecting licences in Niger, covering a total area of 6,773 square kilometres.
Ian Stalker, Executive Director and Acting Chief Executive Officer, said: 'Niger Uranium's projects are centrally located within one of the world's most important uranium producing districts. The investment climate in Niger remains positive and recent increases in investments in Niger have highlighted the importance of Niger in respect of the global supply of uranium.'
