APPOINTMENT OF A DIRECTOR

The Board of Utilico Emerging Markets Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Susan Hansen as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 23 September 2013.

Mrs Hansen is a chartered accountant and MBA graduate and has worked in financial services since 1980. She has previous experience in chartered accountancy and investment banking, and is a director of RESIMAC Limited, a securitisation company, as well as a director of Cognitive Education Limited, a registered Not For Profit organisation in New Zealand. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Mrs Hansen was a director of Utilico Investments Limited, and has stood down from that board with effect from 17 September 2013.

In 2003 Mrs Hansen was a non-executive director of FinMedia Limited, listed in New Zealand, which was put into voluntary liquidation.

No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules for Mrs Hansen.
