HOUSTON - October 19, 2022 - VAALCO Energy Inc. (NYSE: EGY; LSE: EGY) ("VAALCO" or the "Company")  announces, following the completion of the business combination with TransGlobe Energy Corporation (the "Arrangement") on October 13, 2022 at 11.00 p.m. (Calgary time), that David Cook, Edward LaFehr and Timothy Marchant who were appointed to the board of the Company on completion of the Arrangement acquired a total of 118,279 common shares with a par value of $0.10 per share in the Company in connection with the Arrangement.
