African Consolidated Resources Plc, the AIM listed resource development company,
was notified on 1 April 2011 that following an acquisition of ordinary shares in
the Company on 28 March 2011, Royal Bank of Canada, as the parent company of RBC
Trustees  (CI) Limited, is interested in 18,941,500 ordinary shares representing
approximately 5.14% of the Company's issued share capital and voting rights.
