                                AGM STATEMENT

Speaking at today's Annual General Meeting, David Heynes, Chairman of IBNet
plc ('IBNet'), the corporate intelligence and Internet surveillance Company
said:

' I am happy to report that IBNet continues to make good progress. We are
continuing to win new business. In September we signed contracts for our
Netdetec service with two new clients, one of which is a well-known global
pharmaceuticals giant, as well as a further two sales of Sharedetec, our
bulletin board and financial news monitoring product.

' We are continuing to innovate. We are evolving the range of products and
services that we offer clients. For example we are currently launching 'Brand
Landscape' which offers clients a snapshot view of how their brand is
represented on the Internet. The service has a much shorter lead in time than
our other products. It also provides us with a valuable 'foot in the door'
introduction route for our more developed products.

' At our preliminary results we announced the planned release of version 2 of
our Netdetec product. This is due to be released later this month and we are
in the final stage of testing. The upgraded version offers significant
improvements and we anticipate that it will be well received by our customers.

' As we said in our preliminary announcement, if appropriate, acquisitions
continue to be a part of our business plan. We will look carefully at any
opportunities to deliver growth and shareholder value through acquisition.

' We believe that there is a significant opportunity for IBNet. Companies
recognise the value of timely intelligence. Intellectual Property and Branding
are significant assets for many companies. The information we can provide
clients on how they, their customers and competitors are represented on the
Internet is therefore extremely valuable. We remain confident of IBNet's
future prospects.'
