Deal Group Media plc
('the Group')
Deal Group Media subsidiary forms strategic alliance with
OmnicomGroup for search services across Asia
Deal Group Media plc (AIM:DGM), an independent online marketing group, today announces that dgm, one of the Group's three operating businesses and the longest standing core operation in Asia, has reached an agreement with Omnicom Media Group ('OMG'), a subsidiary of OmnicomGroup (NYSE:OMC) and one of the worlds largest marketing groups and online marketing specialists, to deliver Search Engine Marketing Services across the Asia Pacific Region. dgm is coordinating with OMG Search in a multi-market drive to become Asia's largest search spender across their operating brands.
The Agreement will create an excellent opportunity for the Group to gain greater exposure in the Asia Pacific across all online disciplines whilst harnessing the strength of the OMG brand.
The Group will be providing its expertise to OMG with the goal to determine why a consumer searches, how they search and interact with a brand, and what that consumer does as a consequence. The combination of OMG's experience gained from established markets and within their subsidiary firms, and the Group's specialisation and focus will benefit advertising partners and clients. Search Engine Marketing is expected to be worth over US$3 billion in 2009, with growth rates expected to increase significantly.
Deal Group Media CEO Adrian Moss commented, 'We are delighted to sign this agreement with OMG as we continue to execute our strategy of focusing on the Asia Pacific region. Asia is a huge growth market, with 600 million online consumers across Asia and Australasia. Working with international industry experts OMG will help us to expand while sharing their digital, data and direct marketing expertise. We expect the new agreement with OMG to be a platform for revenue generation from 2009.'
Barry Cupples, OMG CEO for Asia Pacific said, 'In order to continue being a leader in the industry, we have to evolve the offering and remain innovative in the market. This venture with dgm will allow us to better position ourselves and our discipline offering, in this case SEM, where consumers demand for information is met by the relevant advertiser messaging'.
