Velti powers mobile marketing campaigns for
SingTel's Globe Telecom, a leading Asian mobile operator
Velti, a leading platforms and services provider enabling mobile marketing,
advertising and value-added services for advertising agencies, media groups,
mobile operators and large enterprises, today announces that it is expanding its
operations in Asia, starting with a mobile marketing campaign in the
Philippines, with SingTel's Globe Telecom (a joint venture of SingTel with
Philippines' Ayala group)
This is Velti's mobile marketing campaigns on behalf of SingTel's Globe Telecom,
Asia's leading communications group with more than 136 million subscribers (out
of which 18 million are located in the Philippines) and operations in more than
20 countries. The Philippines have the highest per capita SMS adoption rate in
the world, accounting for 10% of SMS sent worldwide (source: ITU).
The purpose of the campaigns is to increase Globe Telecom's customer loyalty.
Velti has deployed its Mobile Marketing Platform and developed and implemented
interactive mobile marketing campaigns, which include a content-oriented mobile
community. The campaigns offer Globe Telecom customers a unique experience, with
mobile content give-aways and other gifts being offered to boost participation.
Since the campaigns were launched in July 1st, 2007, participation has reached a
significant percentage of the Globe Telecom's subscriber base with more than 18
million mobile interactions with the end consumers. By September 30, 2007, this
is expected to surpass 24 million, with the increased traffic reinforcing Globe
Telecom's position in the market.
Velti has recently launched Version 3.5 of its Mobile Marketing Platform (Velti
MMP), an innovative tool for planning, creating, managing and monitoring mobile
marketing and advertising campaigns, which incorporates more than 60 built-in
campaign templates for above and below-the-line activities, enabling the rapid
and cost-effective creation of multilevel mobile campaigns.
Alexandros Moukas, Velti's CEO said:
