UltraDEX advertising launch
Venture Life (AIM: VLG), the international consumer self-care group focused on developing, manufacturing and commercialising products for the ageing population, announces the launch of the new UltraDEX advertising campaign in the UK.
Since the acquisition of the UltraDEX oral care products range in March 2016, the Company has revitalised the brand, creating a fresh identity and a clearer message on all advertising material and packaging. The range is comprised of a daily oral rinse, toothpaste, oral spray and other inter-dental accessories, and achieved revenues of £1.4 million in the first six months of 2016. The Company's Brands business now represents 20% of its total revenue and the Company remains confident in the growth prospects for UltraDEX, in addition to its other brands, having signed three new distribution agreements for UltraDEX since acquiring it in March 2016.
The campaign, launching today, will run for two weeks and aims to increase brand awareness and encourage product trial among new users. UltraDEX will feature on approximately 4,000 tube cards on the London Underground, meaning a banner advertisement in every train carriage on every line, as well as cross track posters in 91 Underground stations. In conjunction with this, the Company will run an extensive radio campaign in London and the South East and free UltraDEX samples will be given out at Waterloo, Victoria and Liverpool Street stations. A new website (www.ultradex.co.uk) has also been launched and whilst the overall level of advertising is significant for Venture Life it is in line with budgeted plans. It will also support in-store activity amongst Venture Life's key retail partners such as Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Amazon, as the Company continues to grow the retail presence of the brand.
Commenting, Chief Executive Officer of Venture Life, Jerry Randall, said: "The acquisition of UltraDEX has had a big impact on our Brands business and we are expecting it to make a significant contribution towards Group profitability. This campaign is being run initially in the London and South East region as we continue to invest behind the UltraDEX brand and support our retail partners."
