Change of Substantial Shareholding

Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, disclosed the interest of William Battrick in 4,801,974 ordinary shares of the Company, representing 3.23% of the ordinary share capital of the Company, on 31 July 2018, following notification from Mr Battrick.

The Company subsequently received an independent third-party shareholder register analysis in early January 2019, which indicated that William Battrick ceased to have a notifiable interest in the share capital of the Company between 28 September 2018 and 31 December 2018. Versarien's Rule 26 website was updated on 9 January 2019 to reflect that Mr Battrick appeared to no longer have a notifiable interest in the share capital of the Company.

Versarien received notification yesterday from Mr Battrick that he no longer has any notifiable interest in the share capital of the Company.

The Company has no further information to disclose pursuant to Rule 17 and Schedule Five of the AIM Rules for Companies in respect of any dealings by the above mentioned shareholder in the ordinary share capital of Versarien.

Going forward, Versarien intends to announce a summary of any independent third-party shareholder register analysis, should such analysis identify any potential changes to disclosable shareholder interests.
