Director/PDMR Shareholding

Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, was notified on 15 April 2019 that Neill Ricketts, the Company's CEO, exercised options over 307,970 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at an exercise price of 29 pence, under the Company's share option schemes.

 

Application has been made for the new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM, which is expected to take place on 24 April 2019.  The new Ordinary Shares will rank, pari passu, with the existing Ordinary Shares in issue.

 

Following this exercise of options Mr Ricketts notified the Company that he sold 307,970 Ordinary Shares at a price of 136.1 pence per Ordinary Share on 15 April 2019.

Following the transactions outlined above Mr Ricketts' interest in the share capital of the Company remains at a total of 15,250,000 Ordinary Shares representing 9.91 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital enlarged pursuant to the exercise of options. Mr Ricketts is interested in options over a further 6,039,021 Ordinary Shares.

 

Total Voting Rights

 

Following the issue of the new Ordinary Shares, the Company will have 153,932,290 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in issue. No Ordinary Shares are held in treasury. The figure of 153,932,290 may be used by the Company's shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
