Versarien appointed to NGA Industry Council
Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, is pleased to announce that the Company has been appointed as the inaugural Industry Council member and Corporate Partner of The National Graphene Association ("NGA"), the main organisation and body in the US advocating and promoting the commercialisation of graphene.
The NGA Industry Council will be a select number of prominent graphene companies leading NGA committees on policy, standards and business development. Industry Council members possess a long-term view that the success of the graphene industry in the US requires sound, strategic direction from companies engaged in the market. Council members work directly with the NGA and international organizations to advance the commercialisation of graphene and provide guidance in the development of standard and best practices for graphene. Council members will also advise the NGA on public policy and assist in developing strategic initiatives.
Dr. Zina Jarrahi Cinker, Executive Director of the NGA, commented: "The graphene sector needs an active industry council that will take leadership, pave the path and guide the industry forward. With Versarien's success and prominence in the field, Versarien is the ideal member to join the Industry Council."
