Versarien Launches its First Ever Water-Cooled PC
Award-winning British start-up enters high-performance computing market
Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced engineering materials group, announces the introduction of its own brand of advanced computer platforms with cutting-edge functionality driven by innovative proprietary technology. The Cinderford-headquartered company is now delivering on plans to introduce a product line of world-class, water-cooled PCs.
The VersarienPC family will be differentiated from the competition through significant operational advantages in comparison to conventional fan-cooled products. These include greater processing power, higher reliability and quieter running. The initial offering -the VPC Type-001 - delivers speeds of up to 4.6GHz through a state-of-the-art Intel® Core™ microprocessor. A full spec is available at: www.versarien.com/VersarienPC
Thanks to the success of its innovative VersarienCu heat transfer material (which is up to 10x more effective than conventional heat removal systems), Versarien is forecast to have a disruptive impact on modern PC architecture. It has gained a great deal of industry acclaim - receiving a series of high-profile accolades (such as the UKTI Start-Up Games Winner and Conservative Party Start-Up Hub Winner, as well as MWP Advanced Manufacturing and HP Smart Business Awards). The fledgling company's rapid progress was made clear when, in June this year, it floated on the AIM submarket of the London Stock Exchange. Building on these achievements, the Group is now keen to expand upon its admission to AIM by serving the computer sector.
"The release of the VersarienPC range represents an exciting new phase in the Company's progression," states Neill Ricketts, CEO and Founder of Versarien plc. "With these products we can show the effectiveness of our pioneering thermal management technology and its ability to boost performance while simultaneously extending operational lifespan. This means we can provide the market with computers that are more powerful, longer lasting and less noisy, and at their core rely on home-grown British engineering expertise."
