COOKSON ACQUIRES ACHEM LAMINATES BUSINESS

Cookson Group plc ('Cookson'), the international materials technology group,
announces that it has now completed the acquisition of the printed circuit
board laminates division of ACHEM Technology Corporation, terms of which were
previously announced on 27 April 2000.
