Press Release 6 May 2008
Brulines (Holdings) plc
('Brulines' or 'the Group')
Brulines appoints Managing Director for its Gaming Machine businesses
Brulines (Holdings) plc (AIM:BRU), the market leading provider of real time
monitoring systems and data management services for the UK leisure sector, is
pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Knowles as Managing Director of the
Group's gaming machine management interests comprising Machine Insite and
Coin-Metrics.
Bill brings with him a wealth of experience acquired in senior roles within the
machines and pub sector over the last 25 years, including 19 years with Punch
Taverns and Allied Domecq.
In addition to Bill Knowles' appointment, the Coin Metrics sales team has been
strengthened with the appointment of Mark Bowen as the account manager for the
south of England.
Mark has a wealth of experience in the UK gaming industry and more specifically
from his work with Whitbread and more recently Punch Taverns where he was
responsible for machine management and development. Mark will help drive the
Group's real time machine monitoring systems and data management services into
the pub and leisure sectors.
Commenting on the appointments, James Dickson, Chief Executive of Brulines,
stated: 'I am delighted that Bill is joining the team at a very exciting time
for the gaming machine industry. The knowledge and experience he has gained
within the pub and machine sectors will prove invaluable as we continue to
develop market leading machine management information and reporting tools. The
machine industry faces significant challenges, and we look forward to working
with the key stakeholders to develop our service and improve operational
efficiency and customer profitability.
These appointments underline our intent to invest in quality people as we
continue to develop market leading products and operational intelligence to
improve customer profitability across the whole pub, leisure and gaming sector.'
Commenting on his appointment, Bill Knowles added: 'I experienced Brulines'
potential during my time at Punch Taverns, and having recently provided
consultancy services to the Group, it became apparent that it has fantastic
opportunities to grow its customer offering and market share through the
integration of Machine Insite's data and customer support package, and the Coin
Metrics real time data capture. Brulines has a strong team and I am looking
forward to leading the AWP business to become the leading provider of cutting
edge management information to the coin-op industry.'
