                         Main Board Director Retirement


Victoria announces that John Duncan will be retiring from Victoria after 36
years service and will step down from the Board on 30 April 2007, a position he
has held since 1996.

John started with Victoria in July 1970 to help in pioneering the Company's move
out of selling solely to the wholesale trade. He has had a successful career
with Victoria, rising through the ranks to Sales & Marketing Director, Joint
Managing Director and was appointed to the Main Board of Victoria in September
1996.

Bob Gilbert, Chairman, commenting on John's forthcoming retirement said:

'John is a consummate professional in all he does and I would like to thank him
for the significant contribution he has always made to the Group. He has been
instrumental in formulating the selling strategy that the Company have today of
selling to both the retailer trade, as well as to the major groups and selected
wholesalers.'

Alan Bullock, Group Managing Director added:

'For the past two years, John has gradually been reducing his working week
towards this planned early retirement although I am pleased to say that John
will remain connected to the industry as he plans to continue in his role as
Chairman of the Carpet Foundation until 2008.'

'On behalf of everyone at Victoria and indeed shareholders, the Directors wish
John and his wife Margaret a long and happy retirement.'
