Victoria P.L.C
Further Disposal of Property
Victoria P.L.C. announces that it has exchanged contracts for the sale of its
0.64 acre freehold industrial property, known as the Castle Works, Pump
Street, Kidderminster.
The property is being sold for £500,000 and was valued in the Group's Accounts
at 3rd April 1999 at £271,500. Completion is expected by 31st March 2000.
Commenting on the sale, Alan Bullock, Group Managing Director, Victoria P.L.C.
said:
'Currently Castle Works is used for Wilton manufacture. This production will
be re-located to our Worcester Road factory as part of our consolidation to a
single site operation in Kidderminster.
'The sale of this industrial property will enable us to reduce further our
borrowings and to continue to invest, further improving the Group's
operational efficiencies. The Group continues to actively market other
properties identified as surplus to requirements.'
This sale is additional to the Group's proposed £3million disposal of its
Green Street property, which was approved by shareholders at an EGM on 9th
December 1999.
