                      Retirement of Non-Executive Director


Victrex plc announces the retirement of Anthony Clinch from the Board as a
non-executive Director with effect from today.

Anthony joined the Board at the time of the management buyout of Victrex nine
years ago and has played a key role in Victrex's development.
