Board Changes

Peter Warry has informed the Company of his intention to step down as non-executive Chairman and as a Director of the Company with effect from 30 September 2008. He will be succeeded as Chairman by Anita Frew, currently the Senior Independent Director.

Anita joined Victrex as a non-executive Director in 2000 and is the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. She is currently a non-executive Director of Aberdeen Asset Management plc, The City of London Investment Trust plc, IMI plc, Northumbrian Water Limited and Securities Trust of Scotland plc.

David Hummel, Chief Executive said,

'Peter has made an invaluable contribution to the Board and the Company with more than nine years of service to Victrex as Chairman. He has guided us through a period of significant growth, development and investment. He has our very best wishes for the future.

I am delighted to welcome Anita as our new Chairman in October. Anita has already made a significant contribution to the Board and brought a wide range of experience, particularly in the areas of international marketing, corporate development and the City. I look forward to working with her in her new role.'

No further information in relation to Anita Frew is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R.

As at 19 May 2008, Anita had a beneficial interest of 9,184 shares in the share capital of the Company.
