                                trading update


Since the AGM in January, demand has continued to grow ahead of expectations.
Sales volume for the five months ended 28 February 2001 was more than 760
tonnes.  This represents an increase of more than 40% over the volume achieved
for the first five months of last year (537 tonnes), and is already well above
the record volume of 693 tonnes sold in the whole of the second half of last
year.

As a result, existing capacity expansion plans have been accelerated to
address a temporary supply constraint caused by this rate of growth.

The interim announcement of the Company's results for the six months ended 31
March 2001 will be made on Tuesday 12 June 2001.
