Trading Statement

The Company announces its trading update for the year ended 30 September 2011.

Full year Group sales volume amounted to 2,860 tonnes, an increase of 13% over the previous year (2,535 tonnes).

Full year revenue for Invibio^®, our biomaterial solutions business, was £49.7m, an increase of 12% over the previous year (£44.2m) despite challenging market conditions.

Overall, we expect Group profits for 2011 to be in line with market expectations.

Initial trading for October indicates that the Group continues to perform well.  However, we remain vigilant of the uncertain macroeconomic indicators and the potential impact on our customers and markets.

The Group remains in an excellent financial position with a healthy balance sheet and strong cash generation. We believe we are well placed to pursue future growth and investment opportunities across both our VPS and Invibio businesses.

Victrex will announce its results for the year ended 30 September 2011 on Tuesday 6 December 2011.
