The Vitec Group plc
AGM Statement
Alison Carnwath, Chairman of The Vitec Group plc, made the following statement
at the Group's AGM today:
'In our full year results announcement on 5 March 2001, we stated that the
robust conditions we saw in most of 2000 in Europe and Asia continued into
2001. These market conditions are currently showing no signs of weakening.
'In the USA, the weaker market conditions we saw during the last quarter of
2000 continued into the current year and this situation seems set for several
months ahead.
'As a result of the situation in the USA, our current assessment is that sales
will grow more slowly than last year. However, the Group still expects to
make progress in 2001.'
