Appointment of Group Finance Director
The Board of The Vitec Group plc ("Vitec"), the international provider of products and services for the broadcast, photographic, military, aerospace and government (MAG) markets, announces that it has appointed Paul Hayesas Group Finance Director, with effect from 13 June 2011.
Paul Hayes, aged 44, has been Group Financial Controller at Signet Jewelers Limited since August 2007. Signet is the world's largest speciality retail jeweler. Prior to that, he held senior roles at RHM plc, a leading food producer, and Smiths Group plc, a leading technology business. Paul holds a first class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birmingham University and is an ACA qualified accountant.
Stephen Bird, Chief Executive Officer, said:
"I would like to welcome Paul Hayes to Vitec as our Group Finance Director. Paul will support me in the execution of our three market strategy and brings an excellent range of skills and relevant experience to complement the existing Vitec executive management team. I would also like to thank Nick Humby, for his significant contribution as our Interim Chief Financial Officer since February 2011 and who will step down from this role upon Paul joining Vitec."
There are no further matters to be disclosed in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
