US Department of Justice Radio Frequency Initiative - Contract Award
Vitec Group, the international provider of products and services to the broadcast, photographic, and MAG (Military, Aerospace and Government) markets, announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, RF Extreme LLC, has been awarded an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract for the provision of its state of the art RF wireless systems for a major U.S. Federal Agency.
The award of this 5 year framework agreement has been made under the Radio Frequency (RF) Initiative of the U.S. Department of Justice, and will assist the Department in the migration of its wireless spectrum networks. This is a part of what is more commonly referred to as 'Auction 66'.
Within this agreement, RF Extreme has been awarded its first order to the value of $6.58 million.
RF Extreme LLC will shortly be consolidating all of its activities into a single modern facility located in Mount Olive New Jersey, right at the heart of the US microwave industry.
Commenting on the award, Stephen Bird, Group Chief Executive of Vitec said:
