Board Changes
The Vitec Group plc ("Vitec") the international provider of products and services for the broadcast, photographic, military, aerospace and government (MAG) markets is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Rollins to the Board of the Company as a non-executive director with effect from 2 October 2013. He will join the Audit, Remuneration and Nominations Committees. Simon Beresford-Wylie will also cease to be a non-executive director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee with effect from 1 December 2013 and will be succeeded by Carolyn Fairbairn in that role.
Commenting on the changes, John McDonough, Chairman of Vitec said: "I would like to welcome Mark to the Board of Vitec. Mark brings excellent experience of listed companies with international manufacturing operations that will benefit Vitec greatly. I would also like to thank Simon for his excellent service to Vitec since his appointment to the Board on 1 March 2006 and in the role as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee since 3 June 2010. Carolyn will be an excellent Chairman of the Remuneration Committee ensuring that our policy on executive remuneration balances the long-term interests of our investors and executive management."
Mark Rollins is a chartered accountant and is currently Chief Executive of Senior plc, being appointed to that position in March 2008. He joined Senior plc in 1998 from Morgan Crucible plc, and became Group Finance Director in 2000. He was formerly a Non-Executive Director of WSP Group from 2006 to 2012. He holds a first class degree in Engineering.
There are no further matters to be disclosed in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
