Appointment of Non-Executive Directors

The Vitec Group plc ("Vitec") the international provider of products and services for the Broadcast & Video, Photographic, and MAG (military, aerospace and government) markets is pleased to announce the appointments of Lorraine Rienecker and Christopher Humphrey to the Board as independent non-executive directors with effect from 1 December 2013.  Both Lorraine and Christopher will join the Audit, Remuneration and Nominations Committees.

Lorraine Rienecker, BEng in Mechanical Engineering and MBA, is currently Executive Vice President, Strategy, Sales & Marketing at Meggitt plc holding that position since 2005.  Previously she was Director of Strategy & Planning at BAE Systems and Marconi Electronic Systems (GEC) between 1998 and 2002 and has held several other senior roles at Booz Allen & Hamilton and Bombardier.

Christopher Humphrey, BA, MBA and a Fellow of CIMA, is currently Group Chief Executive Officer of Anite plc, holding that position since 2008.  Previously he was their Group Finance Director between 2003 and 2008.  He has held senior positions in finance at Conoco, Eurotherm International plc and Critchley Group plc.  He was previously a non-executive director of Alterian plc between 2011 and 2012.

Commenting on the appointments, John McDonough CBE, Chairman of Vitec said: "I would like to welcome Lorraine and Christopher to the Board of Vitec.  Both bring important skills and international experience and broaden diversity on the Board at this important time in the development of Vitec."

There are no further matters to be disclosed in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
