DISCLOSURE OF MATERIAL INTEREST IN SHARES:

The Essex County Council Pension Fund is a limited partner in the Hermes UK
Smaller Companies Focus Fund, which I understand has contacted you already,
disclosing details of the holding listed below. As a limited partner the Essex
County Council Pension Fund has an interest in these shares:

In addition to the above, the Essex County Council Pension Fund also invests in
UK Equity Index and UK Smaller Companies Index, via pooled vehicles managed by

investments is £264m of which Vitec Group PLC constitutes  0.017% (approx
£45,600).  The underlying shares in these pooled vehicles are in the name of
L&G's custodian, HSBC.
