In conformity with the Transparency Directive The Vitec Group plc ('Vitec') is 
required to announce to the market the receipt of notifications of major 
interests in shares. 

Vitec received notice on 4 July 2007 on behalf of Prudential plc in 
accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules that Prudential plc and 
certain of its subsidiary companies have a notifiable interest in 3,245,720
ordinary shares of 20p each in Vitec, being 7.74% of the issued ordinary share 
capital of Vitec.

With effect from 20 January 2007, the EU Transparency Directive was incorporated 
into UK law. 

 
In accordance with the Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules sourcebook 5.1.2 
pursuant to the Transparency Obligations Directive (Disclosure and Transparency
