We are writing to notify you pursuant to the Disclosure of Interests in Shares
(Amendment) Regulations 1993 (SI 1993 No. 1819) of our interest in investment
holdings in the ordinary stare capital of Vitec Group plc.  Accounts managed by
Harris Associates L.P. are the beneficial owners of 4,108,107 shares of Vitec
Group plc. Due to an increase in the number of shares issued, Harris Associates
L.P. became the beneficial owner of 9.97% of Vitec Group plc.  This represents a
decrease below the 10% substantial shareholder threshold.

Percentages are based on 41,200,854 outstanding shares. All holdings of Vitec
Group are for investment purposes only.
