                   NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

In conformity with the Transparency Directive The Vitec Group plc ('Vitec') is 
required to announce to the market the receipt of notifications of major 
interests in shares.

Vitec received notice on 2 April 2008 on behalf Prudential plc in accordance 
with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules that Prudential plc and certain of 
its subsidiary companies have a notifiable interest in 3,245,720 ordinary shares 
of 20p each in Vitec, being 7.7% of the issued ordinary share capital of Vitec.
