                   Will Wyatt appointed Non Executive Director


Mr Will Wyatt has been appointed as a Non Executive Director of The Vitec Group
plc with immediate effect.

In 1996 Mr Wyatt was appointed Chief Executive, BBC Broadcast, a post he held
for three years.  In this role, Mr Wyatt was deputy to the director general and
responsible for the largest budget in British broadcasting - scheduling channels
and commissioning services for audiences in the UK and overseas, including BBC1,
BBC2, Radios 1,2,3 & 4, Regional and Educational Services, the BBC's new digital
channels and BBC Online, as well as for UKTV, the BBC's commercial partnership
with Telewest.

Mr Wyatt joined the BBC in 1965 as a Sub Editor on Radio News.  He spent the
rest of his executive career with the BBC, in a range of posts including Head of
Documentary Features and MD, Network Television.  Mr Wyatt retired from the BBC
in 1999.

In addition to his Chairmanship of the media strategy and research consultancy,
Human Capital, Mr Wyatt is also Chairman of the London Institute, a Director of
Coral Eurobet plc, President of the Royal Television Society, a  Governor of
Magdalen College School, Oxford and a commentator on the broadcasting industry.
