The Vitec Group plc announces that Philip Cushing has resigned his position as
Group Chief Executive and Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Alison Carnwath will assume an executive role until a replacement is appointed
and will retain her responsibilities as Chairman of The Vitec Group plc.  The
Board is commencing a search for a new Chief Executive who will be charged
with taking the Group to the next stage of its organisational and strategic
development.

The Board confirms its trading statement made on 29 June 2001.  The Vitec
Group will announce its half year results at the end of August.
