ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING                                                        

Commenting at the AGM, Malcolm Harris, Chief Executive, Bovis Homes Group plc,
said:

'1999 was a year of continuing progress with all of the Group's key objectives
successfully achieved.  Our focus upon sustainable long term profitability is
supported by our assembly of one of the highest quality land banks in the
industry.

'New products and enhanced specification were introduced during the year and
effectively marketed.  The Group's continuous appraisal and improvement
programme is delivering solid results and will ensure that we continue to
operate in the most efficient manner.

'Our trading experience during the first four months of the new millennium was
good.  Cumulative reservations to the end of April were above the comparative
period in 1999 with sales price and margin improvements.

'Based upon current market conditions we anticipate delivering another
positive set of results to our shareholders this year.'
