The Company was notified on 11 March 2002 that Executive Directors M R Harris
and R N Walford exercised options over ordinary shares in the Company, under the
Bovis Homes Group Executive Share Option Scheme on 11 March 2002 as follows:

Of their resulting holdings, M R Harris sold 355,230 shares and R N Walford sold
205,192 shares, on 11 March 2002, in each case at a price of 428p per share.

The Company was further notified today that Executive Directors M R Harris and R
N Walford exercised options over ordinary shares in the Company, under the Bovis
Homes Group Executive Share Option Scheme, on 12 March 2002 as follows:

Of these resulting holdings, M R Harris has retained 11,538 shares and R N
Walford has retained 11,538 shares.

Following these transactions, both Directors have increased their shareholdings
in the Company as follows:

                  M R Harris now holds 202,809 ordinary shares


                  R N Walford now holds 62,686 ordinary shares
