The Company was notified on 21 June 2005 that D J Ritchie, an Executive
Director, exercised options over ordinary shares in the Company under the terms
of the Bovis Homes Group PLC Executive Share Option Scheme on 21 June 2005 as
follows:

Having sold 10,268 shares at a price of £6.98 per share on 21 June 2005 to meet
the option cost and PAYE liability, D J Ritchie retained the maximum number of
shares. His resultant holding has increased by 4,946 shares.
Following this transaction, D J Ritchie's shareholding in the Company has
increased to 33,027 shares.
