Retirement of Non-Executive Chairman at end of 2013
The Board of Bovis Homes Group PLC today announces that Malcolm Harris, non-executive Chairman, intends to retire from the Board on 30 November 2013.
Malcolm has been non-executive Chairman since July 2008 and prior to that was Chief Executive for 12 years. Malcolm joined Bovis Homes in 1974, was first appointed to the Board of Bovis Homes in 1978 and was instrumental in the successful flotation of the Company in 1997.
In line with its established succession planning arrangements, the Board is commencing the search for a new non-executive Chairman and will announce the outcome in due course.
Malcolm Harris said:
"I have been delighted to Chair the Board over the past four and a half years, during a period in which the Company's growth strategy has been successfully launched and deployed. Bovis Homes is well positioned for the future and I will follow its progress with continued interest."

"Malcolm has successfully steered the Board through a challenging period for the housebuilding industry during a serious economic downturn. The Board has been a beneficiary of his in depth industry knowledge and valuable insight and guidance and I would like to thank him for his enormous contribution to Bovis Homes over the years."
The Company will announce its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2012 on Monday 25 February 2013.
